Kenya Collection tribal design area rugs are hand-knotted using pure wool and styled with naive motifs that are colored in an an artful mix of native un-dyed natural shades and other vibrant colors. Layers of texture are constructed from thick, over-stitched cut pile yarns adding a unique tribal complexion to many of the rugs in this intriguing collection.
Always use a professional rug cleaners. Self-cleaning methods like carpet shampooing are discouraged.
Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean sponge or cloth.
Avoid use of beater-bar type vacuum as they create friction, which speeds up the wear on pile rugs, and some may cause yarns to pull or snag. If snagging does occur, trim to same level of surrounding fibers.
Care and Maintenance
We recommend rug pads for use with all rugs to help extend the rug’s life, protect the surface underneath, and help keep rug in place.
Pile shedding is a normal characteristic of quality area rugs, particularly with wool and other natural fibers. Some rugs shed more than others.
